In Anime, Video Games and Manga why do they make it a point to mention the characters blood type?

it’s sort of like Astrology. Their personality is shown, and their compatibility with others. i kinda ran across this in an episode of utena.

Blood types in Japan are popularly believed to be predictive of personality, what kind of person he/she is, and compatibility with others, etc. It was at first considered a legitimate possibility that this was true, but as this theory is long rejected, it is now mainly a part of culture. Liken it to someone asking you for your zodiac sign.

Leo and piecies work together, and so do certain blood types in Japan. It might be easier to look it up on a manga site. I am a big fan of manga and I’m gld you asked.

It’s just like the Western & Chinese Horoscope. It predicts your personality traits & personality compatibility.
Type A – calm, composed, level-headed, serious, reliable, trustworthy. Appearing aloof or superior, they are often surrounded by people of their own type, as they find it difficult to rely on other types.
Type B – cheerful, enthusiatic, excitable, self-involved, capricious. They always appear bright and full of energy, but they are often hiding an inner lack of confidence. Goal oriented and strong minded, type B’s will start a task and continue it until completed, and completed well. Type B’s are the individualists of the blood group categories and find their own way in life.
Type O – carefree, generous, popular, strong-willed, adaptable to new things. They are the diplomats, who maintain group harmony but occasionally make big mistakes by not being careful enough. Are outgoing, and very social. They are initiators, although they don’t always finish what they start. Creative and popular, they love to be the center of attention and appear very self confident.

While responsible, too much responsibility will cause a problem.
